Questions

My personalized bracelet does not fit. Can I have it re-sized? TOP
We will be glad to re-size any personalized bracelet at no charge if it does not fit properly. When sizing your wrist for the best possible fit choose one of the two following options:

1. Measure your favorite bracelet from end to end including the clasp. If part of the clasp clips inside the other, do not include that part of the clasp in your measurement.

2. You can measure around your wrist using a flexible soft tape measure around your wristbone and add ¾” to 1”. The bracelet should fit comfortably but not to loose that it can slip off.

To return your bracelet for re-sizing, please follow these steps:

1. Within 7 days of delivery, contact Allison Springfield at 901-489-7679 or e-mail allison@yahoo.com to notify her that you will be making a return and to receive a return address.

2. Package and ship the item(s) in the original packing materials (padding, or bubble wrap and jewelry pouch along with your bracelet size information to the return address.

How do I clean sterling silver? TOP

How do I clean copper? TOP
Copper quickly turns from a shiny orange-brown to a deep chocolate color. Exposure to air and light speed this process. Leave your piece out if you want it to tarnish quickly. Otherwise, store it in its own Ziploc® bag.

  • To clean tarnish: Soak in a mixture of pure lemon juice and salt for 5-10 seconds. After removing the bracelet from the mixture, lather with non-lotion dishwashing soap and water, and rub the jewelry briskly but gently between your palms. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry with a towel or use a blow dryer on lowest setting. Make sure the piece is fully dry before you return it to its ziploc® bag.

· Copper is very soft, so be extra gentle with copper jewelry.

What is sterling silver? TOP

What is gold-filled? TOP
Gold-filled also called rolled gold.  These jewelry findings are not actually filled with gold, but are made of a base metal (usually brass or copper) covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process.  Effectively a thick coat of gold.  The gold conent is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight.  Gold filled findings are used for your top-of-the-line jewelry.  Usually made with 14k gold, it is hard wearing.  With reasonable care, it will not peel or flake, ans should last as long as solid 14k gold jewelry.  It is safe for most people with sensitive skin.

What is vermeil? TOP
Vermeil (pronounced vermay) is sterling silver that has been gold-plated.  Most vermeil is plated with 24K gold.  This is a good combination for those with an allergy to normal, plated findings.  The difference between vermeil and gold filled is the thickness of the gold and the base metal used.  In vermeil, the base is sterling silver.

What is chainmaille? TOP

Chainmaille (also known as chainmail, or simply maille) is typically armor or jewelry made by connecting metal rings to one another. The word maille derives from the French word maille (mesh), which comes from Latin macula (mesh of a net). Creating something out of maille involves a few steps:
Wrap metal wire around a rod to make a coil.
Cut the coil, creating individual "jump rings."
Using pliers, link the rings—one at a time—into a pattern.
